Ramiro Ramirez

Founder, Engineer, Data Scientist

Rami Labs emerged from a simple observation: artificial intelligence and computational systems have matured enough to engage with real questions about intelligence, belief, and collective behavior; yet much of this work remains confined to papers, labs, or closed platforms. Rami Labs exists to bring these questions into the open by building systems that observe, measure, and interrogate them through active experimentation.

My interest in this space began during the early wave of generative AI, when model hallucinations were mostly a curiosity generating compelling visual artifacts, but poorly understood as signals. Years of software engineering, followed by deeper studies in data science and machine learning, shifted my curiosity toward the internal dynamics of models and, eventually, toward the broader systems that shape how beliefs form, propagate, and align.

I co-founded Memetic Machines to focus more deeply on that line of inquiry: exploring intelligence, collective belief, and epistemic infrastructure through markets, models, and systems. Much of my day-to-day work happens there now. Rami Labs remains the broader home: a place for essays, study cases, and systems that don't fit neatly into a single category.

Research as Systems

Research as Systems

Many of my ideas are explored through working systems. Building and deploying computational infrastructure allows theory to be stress-tested against reality with data, users, incentives, and failure modes.

Projects like AGI Canary, RPGen, Memetic Machines, and Quantifying Culture are not endpoints, but research systems—instruments designed to observe, measure, and reveal dynamics in intelligence, belief, and coordination.

Essays & Thinking

Essays & Thinking

I regularly publish essays reflecting on technology, intelligence, and society. The work explores how emerging systems reshape knowledge, belief formation, and collective coordination.

Rami Labs is not a fixed destination. It evolves as new questions emerge, new research systems are built, and new signals surface through observation and inquiry.
